Community Councillors

Proprietor to “Linda Catering”, At present Chairperson to the, Mull Community Council, a founder member to “Keep Mull  Moving” campaign, a Director of the Progressive Care Centre, also being member to the NFU as part of my interests.  My concerns are the state of the roads on Mull.

Had a career with the Royal Navy-Pilot-Fleet Air Arm, brief time with the Police Force. Experience in Sales and marketing with a variety of Blue Chip companies.  I am at present Vice Chairman of the Mull Community Council and represent Salen. Also Chairman of the Renewable Energy Forum.

Before coming to Mull, I worked for the NHS for 13 years as PA to one of the Directors of the Hereford Hospital Trust.  I am now Minute/Correspondence Secretary of Mull Community Council, Keep Mull Moving, and Renewable Energy Forum. I am also secretary of Fionnphort SWRI and the Mull Hyper baric Centre, based at Bunessan. I run a small B&B at Creich Fionnaphort. I enjoy reading, walking and bird watching.

Treasurer of the Mull Community Council, and acting treasurer to the Keep Mull Moving. First came to Mull in 1969, and witnessed the steady decline of the Island road infrastructure. I disagree with the proposed Parking Charges in Tobermory Main St or Ledaig. I Have brought my concerns to the attention at the current meetings of the Mull Community Council.

Farmer member of the NFU, my interests on behalf of the community are tha lack of maintenance to our roads, and the most recent flooding of sections of the main Highways.

Bunessan  member to the Mull Community Council, Chairman of the Ross of Mull and Iona Branch of the RNLI. I have served for 2 terms as NFU president and Mull’s representative at National level. I’ve been a serving member of the Ferry Service Committee for 22 years. My main concerns, we are not getting many of the services the Islanders deserve. What are your concerns?.

Mull Community Council for Pennyghail, Tiroran,and Gruline area. I had annual holiday connections with Mull from 1963, until I moved permanently to Mull in 1986. Since then I have run the Pennyghail Stores and Post Office.

My interests are in supporting, all major projects proposed for Mull, which will hopefully provide work to encourage our young people to be able to stay on the Island, as the best place to live.

Mull Community Councillor to Croggan and Loch Buie. Farmer Chairman of the Mull Deer Management Group, Member of the Mull Branch of the  NFU, a Member of the Keep Mull Moving campaign.

My main concerns are the proposed Weight Restrictions to our side roads, which if implemented will cause severe economic decline to all rural Business’s on these roads. The current Ferry Company that does not pay enough attention to the Islands needs.

I’ve been on Mull for 26 years, and represent Craignure and Loch Don on the Mull Community Council. I am also part of the Volunteer Fire Service.

My main concerns are the present state of the Roads and continued lack of maintenance to its infrastructure. The Ferry Service not in tune to the Islands needs. Can I help you with your concerns? .
