1.         Apologies:

A welcome was extended to Mr. Alan Parker.  At a previous meeting, Tony Proud had suggested that a web site be drawn up for the Mull Community Council.  Explanation given on the benefits:

Ø      Useful for the minutes of meetings.  Holiday Mull and the Harbour Association display their minutes on the web

Ø      More people are looking at the web

Ø      Would be linked with other meetings taking place throughout the island

Ø      Alan Parker informed the committee he would be finishing with Holiday Mull after the next Annual General Meeting

Ø      Cost: £10 per year to set up, domain name costs £15 per year

Comments:

Ø      Noted that the minutes would appear two months after the meeting

Ø      Agreed to set up for one year and then review

Ø      Alan Parker agreed to register the domain name, no charge to set up in the initial stages.  Would take 24 hours to register the domain name two hours to set up the site.  Web site would be called mcc.co.uk

Ø      Agreed to start with the May minutes

Ø      Agreed to keep the minutes displayed in Am Muileach

Ø      Could have other links, would benefit having the proposed weight restrictions on Mull roads

For information:

Alan Parker thanked the Community Council for supporting his wood chip project.  Wood would be extracted from the forestry sometime in the summer.
